How do I print in the library and how much does it cost?
Black and white printers are available on every floor in the library, and color printers are on floors 1 and 2. You can print either from a library computer or a personal device.
Printing costs 5¢ for black and white, and 20¢ for color. Students automatically receive $10 of print credit each semester they’re enrolled in classes. To add additional print credit to your account, go to print.uvu.edu.
Print from Library Computer:
- Log in to a library computer using your UVID and password.
- A box in the upper right corner will automatically display your print balance.
- Print jobs by default will go to the black and white printer closest to the computer you’re using. If you’re near a color printer, you can select the color printer before printing a document.
- Print jobs will automatically deduct from your print credit balance. If you do not have enough credit for the number of pages you’re attempting to print, then the print job will not go through and you will need to add credit to your account.
For help with printing, contact a lab assistant on the first or second floors of the library.
Print from Personal Device:
- You can print from a personal laptop or mobile device to any computer lab printer in the library or across campus. There are two options:
- Webprint is a web-based printing service that allows you to upload your file and print; it doesn’t require downloading anything to your device. Learn how at the Webprint page.
- Mobility Print is an option that sets up a campus printer directly on your device. Learn how at the Mobility Print page.
- Be sure to select a printer in the library—both systems include printers located across campus.
See Printing On Campus for complete information about printing on the UVU campus, or ask a lab assistant for help. Lab assistants are located on the first floor at the Tech Help Desk in the middle of the Information Commons computer lab, and on the second floor at the Circulation Desk (near the building exit).
Visitors: If you are a campus visitor, please ask a lab assistant for assistance with printing as a guest. You will need to show photo ID, and printing is by credit card only.
